Delta Kappa Gamma: Alpha Tau Chapter The Delta Kappa Gamma: Alpha Tau Chapter promotes professional and personal growth of women educators in the Kaufman County, Texas area.

The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International has seven basic Purposes that govern its program of work and study. The activity of each level of the Society implement the Purposes of the society. The seven purposes are:

*To unite women educators of the world in a genuine spiritual fellowship
*To honor women who have given or who evidence a potential for distinctive service in any field of education


*To advance the professional interest and position of women in education
*To initiate, endorse and support desirable legislation of other suitable endeavors in the interests of education and of women educators
*To endow scholarships to aid outstanding women educators in pursuing graduate study and to grant fellowships to nonmember women educators
*To stimulate the personal and professional growth of members and to encourage their participation in appropriate programs of action
*To inform the members of current economic, social, political and educational issues so that they may participate effectively in a world society

What a great start to our 2025-2026 year! After we enjoyed a delicious nacho bar with sopapilla cheesecake for dessert, we set goals for ourselves as we "Dare to Dream" about the upcoming season. We also learned about the first two leading ladies of our organization, Dr. Annie Webb Blanton and Mamie Sue Bastian.

I'm so late posting this, but the holidays were BUSY!

We had a great time visiting the Bush Presidential Library. We learned new things, got to see the Magna Carta up close, and had a wonderful lunch at La Madeline.

We hope the next outing will have an even bigger attendance, as we head to the ICR Discovery Center.
