Godly character holds power.

We live in a world that says power comes from talent, a big platform, or always having the last word. Scripture tells a gentler story. "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." (James 4:6) There is so much kindness in that verse. God is not waiting to catch you doing something wrong. He is waiting to pour grace on you. Humility is simply how we open our hands to receive it.

In Part Two of Raising Up Warriors, Pastor Daniel Duval talks about what it takes to be equipped for battle. A strong army needs order, training, and people who can take instruction. God's army works the same way. That is why humility and accountability matter so much. They are not punishment. They are how God trains and protects the people He loves.

Humility is not thinking less of yourself. It is being honest about who you are and who He is. "Humble yourselves under God's mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time." (1 Peter 5:6) You do not have to push your way up or prove yourself. He does the lifting.

Accountability means letting a few trusted people see the real you and walk with you. If that feels scary, you are not alone. Many of us learned to hide because being seen once hurt. But hiding keeps us carrying things we were never meant to carry by ourselves. "Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed." (James 5:16) Honesty with safe people is where healing begins.

Gifts can open a door but character keeps you steady once you walk through it. Remember that God grows that character in you, one honest step at a time.

So here is a gentle invitation for this week. Ask God to show you any place where you have been carrying things alone. Reach out to one trusted person and let them in. When loving correction comes, receive it as care, not rejection.

You are a child of the Most High God, and He is patient with you. Humble people are not weak people! They are the ones heaven lifts up to reign!

Before you found your seat this Sunday, someone welcomed you in. Someone kept watch over the room. And someone had already been praying for you.

Meet Claudia and Victor! You will not meet a sweeter, more sincere couple, and we are so blessed to have them in our community.

Claudia serves on our Welcome Team, sharing of herself and making others feel at home in this house. We honor her genuine heart and love for God's people. Victor serves faithfully on our Security Team, helping steward a safe atmosphere for our congregation. His warmth and authenticity make him beloved by his Bride Family.

Both of them also serve as Prayer Warriors. They press into God's presence to intercede for the church and declare God's promises and encouragement to His people!

A warm hello, a safe room and a covering of prayer might go unseen. But together they make it easier for someone to walk in, breathe and meet with God. That's what Claudia and Victor make room for.

We honor you both! Thank you for your service and for seeking to be who God has called you to be. May God continue to shine His face upon you and bless you with joy, peace and love. We love you, Claudia and Victor!

This past Sunday we kept going in our Equipped for Battle series with Part Two.

Pastor Daniel Duval taught that accountability is what gives you authority.
Think about it. You can't lead anyone until you can lead yourself. People who own their choices grow strong. People who dodge them stay stuck.

That is why we do not raise immature people, whether it is in our homes, our teams, or our own hearts. Giving someone everything and asking nothing of them does not help them. It holds them back.
Pastor Daniel also showed us how to call people forward. That means lovingly asking them to take charge of their own actions. We do not control them or fix everything for them. We help them stand up and govern themselves.
Real strength starts with taking charge of your own life. Own it, and God will trust you with more.

CHAMPIONS ARE FORGED

Spiritual battle is not an option. It is a guarantee.

"For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."
2 Corinthians 10:3–5

We are called to reign in this life, not just when we get to heaven. We are part of God's strategy for taking on the powers of darkness.

So we have to take our callings seriously. We have to train. We have to be champions, not chocolate figurines.

CHAMPIONS:
→ Train hard
→ Live with discipline and ethical boundaries
→ Take personal responsibility for their problems
→ Choose to be brave while they overcome fear and shame
→ Carry weight and can be trusted, even when it's hard

CHOCOLATE FIGURINES:
→ Look like they have it all together
→ Wear a painted-on smile
→ Say all the right things
→ Melt when the heat dials up

Jesus is the master chef. With His help, a chocolate figurine can become a champion.

Jesus is seated until His enemies are made His footstool. God intends to show the principalities and powers who's boss. He won't do it alone. He'll do it through us.

"To the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places, according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Ephesians 3:10–11

We started a new series called Equipped for Battle!

Church is where we find healing, real friendship, and good teaching. But there is more to it than that. The Church also carries God's authority on the earth. And when God's Kingdom moves forward and gains ground, it needs people who are ready to fight for it. It needs soldiers. It needs champions.

Here is the truth. God is not building an army of people who fall apart the moment life gets hard. He builds champions through hard things, through discipline, through healthy limits, and through choosing courage over fear. Whatever pressure you are under right now is not there to crush you. It is there to shape you into who you are becoming.

So hear this. God is calling you right now to stand up and become the soldier and the champion He already sees in you.

Couldn't make it Sunday? Catch up right here.

This week we are shining a light on our prayer team, greeter team, and welcome team. These are the first friendly faces you see when you walk through our doors, and the hands that lift you up in prayer before and after service. Thank you for making every Sunday feel like home.

It can be discouraging when you seek genuine heavenly encounters but don't seem to be making progress. The Bible shows us why. Sin and iniquity passed down through our family line can block us from hearing, seeing, and knowing God clearly. Once that gets cleaned up, real encounter with Him opens up for you too!

Here is more from Sunday:

The Bible teaches there are three levels of heaven: first, second, and third. The third heaven is God's own realm, and that is the kind of encounter we are made for. But iniquity can lock us into the lower levels, where we run into ungodly things instead.

Pastor Dan danced on stage with the band during worship. It was a fun, joy filled moment for the whole church.

Sin, transgression, and iniquity are not the same thing. The Bible shows us the difference between them.

Our family bloodlines can tie us into ungodly cycles like abuse, addiction, and trauma.

Pastor Daniel led a powerful deliverance prayer that helped set us free from the weight of iniquity.
