That's the updated total dollars spent and committed to oyster restoration and creation provided by CCA Texas Director of Habitat John Blaha. Projects include Oyster Reef Creation in St. Charles Bay (Rockport), the Sink Your Shucks Oyster Recycling Program, Mesquite Bay Oyster Reef Monitoring with the Harte Research Institute for Gulf of Mexico Studies, Galveston Bay Foundation Oyster Recycling Trailers, and more!

The oyster is so much more than just a fishery; it is a crucial foundational component of our bays' ecosystem and healthy oyster reefs mean a strong and sustainable coastline now and in the future.
