Stuff the Sleigh provided Christmas experiences for children with cancer and their families.

The EveryWish Foundation (formerly Stuff the Sleigh) is a certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring hope, dignity, and joy to families facing pediatric cancer, terminal illness, and extreme hardship. The EveryWish Foundation exists because two people decided to stop waiting for “someday.”

In 2008, Kelli and Garrett acted on a deep conviction: good people matter more than t

hings. What began as a Christmas initiative called Stuff the Sleigh was created to serve children battling cancer — children who, through no fault of their own, were facing life-altering diagnoses. It was never about presents. It was about presence — showing up during the hardest chapters of life. Supported by volunteers, families, small businesses, corporate partners, and institutions such as Texas Children’s Hospital, the initiative grew quickly. The name “Stuff the Sleigh” captured the spirit of belief and generosity. It became a call to action. And with it came a reminder that still guides us today:
Never. Stop. Believing. But something became clear over time. Hope does not operate on a holiday calendar. Families navigating childhood cancer and critical illness need support all year. They need light in the darkest seasons. And they need more than moments — they need progress. So in 2026, we expanded. Stuff the Sleigh remains a treasured initiative, but the mission grew beyond a season. We became The EveryWish Foundation — reflecting a broader commitment to serve children year-round and invest in long-term medical advancement. What began as a sleigh became a movement.

The EveryWish Foundation is proud to announce the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health (FNIH) as our selected partner for the 2026–2027 season.

Together, we will help accelerate groundbreaking medical research focused on advancing the search for cures and the development of cancer vaccines that have the potential to transform lives.

For more than 17 years, our mission has been to stand beside children and families facing the unimaginable.
Today, that mission grows.

Because while we'll always be there to provide hope, comfort, and support, we also believe in investing in a future where fewer families ever have to face these battles at all.

This partnership represents more than two organizations coming together.

It represents compassion meeting discovery.

Hope meeting science.

And a shared belief that tomorrow can be different from today.

This is more than a partnership.

It is hope in motion.

Where the 1,000 Cranes Become Our Story

There is a powerful tradition called Senbazuru. If a person folds 1,000 origami cranes, the gods will grant them one special wish.

This symbol became globally sacred because of Sadako Sasaki, a young girl who developed leukemia after the Hiroshima atomic bombing.

She began folding cranes in the hospital, believing: “If I fold 1,000 cranes, I will get well.” Each crane represented one wish. Sadako passed away before completing 1,000 cranes. Yet, for her honor and out of love and respect, her classmates finished them for her.

Today, Origami cranes are sent to Hiroshima every year. They represent hope in suffering, wishes in darkness, and beauty from pain.

One crane alone is beautiful.

One thousand cranes together create a movement.

This is the heart of The EveryWish Foundation.

Hope multiplies when people come together.

Our logo reflects light emerging, belief unfolding, and wishes rising — not as symbolism alone, but as measurable action.

From one sleigh to every wish.
In 2008, Stuff the Sleigh began with a simple idea and a whole lot of heart: bring hope and joy to children and families facing some of life’s hardest moments.

Over the years, that mission grew. More volunteers stepped forward. New partners joined us. More families were supported—and more lives were touched.

Now, the need has grown and so has our purpose.

Stuff the Sleigh has become The EveryWish Foundation—a new name for a bold new chapter, with a new team, new partners, and a vision that will change the world.

The name may be new, but the heart remains the same.
