Texas Children’s Hospital & Baylor College of Medicine is inviting members of the sickle cell community to make their voices heard! 🩸✨
The goal of this study is to better understand what a successful transition of care looks like for individuals living with sickle cell disease and to evaluate tools that can improve the transition process for patients and providers. This important work will help fill gaps in knowledge and improve care using tools within the electronic medical record.
They are looking for:
▪️ Community-based organizations advocating for sickle cell disease
▪️ Patients or caregivers living with sickle cell disease
▪️ Advocates for individuals with sickle cell disease
Participants will join one online focus group (about 1 hour 30 minutes) at a convenient time. Each session will include 8–10 participants. Discussions will be confidential, securely stored, and recordings will be destroyed after transcription. All responses will remain anonymous.
This research is sponsored by the American Society of Hematology Research Collaborative.
