Meet Sean, our Gala DJ, who has generously donated his services to help make our Roaring ā€™20s Gala a night to remember!

Sean has some fun ideas up his sleeve, including mixing music from the 1920s with modern favoritesā€”and he even created a song just for Katy Responds! šŸ„¹šŸ’™

Sean is an amazing man if God, truly believes in our mission, and weā€™re grateful heā€™s using his talents to help us raise funds to restore homes and restore hope for families in our community.

GOD CAN USE YOUR STORY FOR HIS GLORY

Sometimes God takes the hardest chapters of our lives and uses them to tell a story only He could write.

Meet Gillian with G. Nichols Photography, the official photographer for Katy City Lifestyle, who has graciously donated her photography services to capture precious moments at our upcoming Gala!

Gillian has walked through a journey of blindness and multiple surgeries, and God restored her sight. Today, she uses her God-given talent to capture moments families and communities can hold onto for a lifetime.

Her story reminds us that we cannot put God in a box. His plans are bigger than we can imagine, and He can use our hardest seasons for His glory.

šŸ” 50+ years. One home. A lifetime of memories.

Ms. Field has lived in her home for more than 50 years. Itā€™s where she raised her children, built a life, and planted roots in a community she loves. Even her church is within walking distance. šŸ’™

Ms. Field is one of our Age in Grace clients, and we had the privilege of helping make her home safer so she can continue living in the place she loves.

The original carpet had become a tripping hazard, so we replaced the flooring and updated her furniture to make getting in and out easier and safer.

We also painted the bedrooms, made repairs around the outside of her home, and fixed a back door that hadnā€™t locked in yearsā€”something that had caused Ms. Field a great deal of anxiety.

These repairs may seem simple, but for an older neighbor, they can mean the difference between feeling unsafe and secure, anxious and at peace, or having to leave home and being able to stay.

And Ms. Field is not the only neighbor who needs help.

SERVE DAY | THE FELLOWSHIP

Weā€™re so grateful for The Fellowship and their yearly Serve Day with Katy Responds!

They stepped outside the walls of the church to be the hands and feet of Christ, serving families right here in our community.

They helped prepare Welcome Home baskets for the 22 homes weā€™ve served and the four more families we hope to complete this month. They also painted Miss Johnsonā€™s home, restoring dignity and helping protect her home from the elements for years to come.

But this work is about more than repairing houses. We want to help families create an asset to pass down, not a burden, while helping break the cycle of generational poverty. And when the local church serves alongside one another, we also help combat loneliness by creating community through serving.

This is what happens when the church steps outside its walls. This is Community in Action. šŸ’™
