❤️ KATY ANGELS — SEPTEMBER COMMUNITY IMPACT RECAP ❤️

September was a big month for Katy Angels, and the need throughout our community continues to grow.

As requests from our local school districts increase, we are incredibly thankful that we can continue to be a resource they know they can count on.

When a counselor or one of our district partners reaches out because a family needs help, our goal is simple:

No lengthy application.
No complicated approval process.
No waiting weeks for an answer.

If there is a legitimate need and we have the ability to help, we help.

Throughout September, we provided immediate grocery and household assistance to families referred to us through our schools. We also had dozens of families from Katy and surrounding communities reach out directly for help.

Sometimes the need was as simple as diapers or formula. Other times, a family needed their pantry and refrigerator completely restocked.

Whatever the situation, we did our best to meet people where they were.

We also continued our ongoing support of local ministries serving communities from Greenspoint to Brookshire, Sunnyside and Katy.

These ministries are truly the hands and feet of God in their communities. We are blessed to help shoulder the grocery needs so these organizations can focus their time and resources on everything else they do for the people they serve.

At Katy Angels, one of our biggest focuses remains very simple:

Keep bellies full. Meet immediate needs. Love people well.

Because sometimes meeting someone’s most basic need opens the door for them to receive something even greater — hope, encouragement, and the love of God.

Community Impact Update

Serving families. Supporting ministries. Responding when it matters.

Over the past several months, Katy Angels has continued doing what we were created to do: identify a need and take action. Through the generosity of our donors and supporters, we have been able to respond directly to families, schools, veterans, and ministries throughout our community.

At Least 4 FAMILIES EVERY WEEK

Over the last three months, we have averaged assistance to four families every week, providing an average of approximately $150 per family in H-E-B and other gift cards for groceries, emergency household needs, and everyday essentials.

That represents approximately 50 families receiving direct assistance in just three months.

100+ BACKPACKS GIVEN

As families prepared for a new school year, Katy Angels provided more than 100 backpacks to ministries and organizations throughout our community, helping make sure children started school with the supplies and support they needed.

🏠 13 TINY HOMES FOR VETERANS

Our giving isn’t limited to financial assistance.

Katy Angels volunteers contributed labor and materials to 13 tiny homes needing repair for veterans experiencing PTSD and homelessness—putting our hands to work alongside our financial giving.

SCHOOL REQUESTS ARE INCREASING

With the beginning of the school year, referrals from Katy ISD and Lamar CISD have increased significantly.

Families are being referred to Katy Angels for groceries, household necessities, and emergency assistance.

Our goal remains simple: respond within 24 hours of receiving a request.

When a family needs help today, we don’t want them waiting weeks for an answer.

SUPPORTING HOUSTON & KATY MINISTRIES

We also continue our ongoing commitment to organizations doing important work throughout the Houston area.

Since the beginning of the year, Katy Angels has provided a continuing $500 monthly grocery allowance supporting ministries.

Every Wednesday will feature different activities, crafts, games, and creative experiences for children and families to enjoy. Plus, food, snacks, and refreshments will be provided at each Summer Fun Day! Bring the kids for an all in a safe and welcoming environment where families can connect and make memories together.

At just 19 years old, Addison is bravely facing severe epilepsy, and we’re coming together as a community to help raise funds for a life-changing service dog that will bring her safety, independence, and peace of mind.

We hosted this Easter celebration to remind these beautiful children that they are never alone—that they are deeply loved, seen, and cared for. No matter their circumstances, God knows them by name and holds them close.

Moments like these are more than just a day of fun… they are memories of hope, joy, and belonging.

A special thank you to Kloe Evans with Kuts for Christ, Kaela with Hope City, and Power Center Katy for being part of such a beautiful and meaningful day.
