We provide a self-sufficient and enduring community that prepares students to use their voices to navigate an unknown and challenging future.

We are an inclusive and affirming arts community that welcomes all and intentionally empowers disenfranchised, underrepresented, marginalized, and underserved communities by teaching students to find and amplify their voices through theatre and the arts. MISSION

We address the challenging issues relevant to our students and communities, providing a space that allows respectful discourse through art, even when that discourse is difficult. DIVERSITY STATEMENT
We believe there is strength in diversity; therefore, we reject discrimination of any kind. We actively affirm and include all people in our community. Diversity is represented throughout all areas of our organization, including our staff and board members. We do not engage in typecasting, including but not limited to sexual orientation, gender identity, and ethnicity. We select plays written by and representing diverse perspectives. We intentionally select plays that reflect our current student population.

Mirus Academy partnership courses start next week! Have you registered?

Once a week Creative Writing, Comprehensive Theatre, and Visual Arts courses are available (academic-credit available). Each class is available for preview next week (August 23-25) for interested but uncertain Mirus Academy families. Come check them out! Need-based are available!

Mirus Academy Partnership courses

A new school year is about to begin and we are excited to share it with your family! Have you gone to our website and fully registered for Rising Voices' courses yet?

If you've only notified Mirus Academy regarding which courses you're interested in taking, please open the link below and complete our registration form. This school year your Mirus Partnership course options include Creative Writing, comprehensive Theatre, and Visual Art. Course descriptions, schedule, prices, and other details are available on our website. Classes will start Tuesday, August 23.

Last night many from our community attended First Christian Church Katy (Disciples of Christ)'s Transparent Closet Fashion and Drag Show Coming Out party and it was a blast! So many wonderful people there sharing an inclusive, supportive, and fun time together.

We are proud to present the Q***r Resilience Through Art Workshop Series, by Mateo Quiñonez ( ). This series and individual workshops are offered in partnership with local organizations--help us bring the series to your community!
