Water Wisdom Wednesday 💧

Myth: “Drowning is usually loud and easy to notice.”
✅ Fact: Drowning can happen quickly and silently.

That’s why active supervision matters. Stay within reach when appropriate, keep your eyes on children around water, and avoid distractions that can take your attention away.

Knowing what to look for and staying focused can help you respond quickly when it matters most.

Keep watching. Keep learning. Keep building layers of protection.

Save and share this reminder with another family. 💙

Water Wisdom Wednesday 💧

Myth: “Life jackets are only needed for children who don’t know how to swim.”
✅ Fact: Life jackets provide an important layer of protection, even for children who know how to swim.

For boating, open water, and other activities where a life jacket is appropriate, make sure it fits properly and is U.S. Coast Guard-approved for the intended use.

Swimming skills and life jackets work together as layers of protection.

Keep watching. Keep learning. Keep building layers of protection.

Save and share this reminder with another family. 💙
