Streets in the Cinco Ranch area are beginning to hold water. It is best to stay off the streets if you can. Remember to watch for any objects that are blocking storm drains and remove them if you can do so safely.

Virtual Update on Draft FEMA Floodplain Maps
You’re invited! Join the Harris County Flood Control District for the first in a series of virtual information sessions about the recently released draft floodplain maps from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
If you’ve wondered what the updated draft maps show for your home or neighborhood, this session will help you understand where to look and what it means.
During the session, we'll cover:
• What floodplain maps are and why they're being updated
• What's changing in the new draft FEMA maps
• How to use the online Navigator tool to find your property
• What happens next and how you can stay involved
It’s important to note that, at this time, these maps are draft and have no regulatory or insurance impacts.
Session Details
• Date: Friday, May 22
• Time: 1:00 - 2:00 pm
• Location: Virtual (registration recommended)
This session is designed for the general public and no prior knowledge is needed. Whether you’re a homeowner, renter, or simply interested in flood risk in your community, we encourage you to attend.
If you are unable to join, materials and resources will be made available after the meeting. There will also be a series of additional sessions in the future to share similar information.
Thank you for staying informed and engaged! Learn more about this program at www.hcfcd.org/MAAPnext.

“Girls’ Inc. of Greater Houston equips girls to reach their full potential by supporting them to overcome challenges and access opportunities.”

What a privilege to spend the lunch hour with these amazing women in support of an organization that inspires girls to be strong, smart, and bold through mentorship and learning experiences! We enjoyed having Amy Love with Muller Law Group and Shannon Wiesepape with Beazer Homes as our guests. Thank you, Inframark, for supporting wonderful organizations that help prepare girls in STEM fields.

Saving Green by Going Green was the major takeaway from the Sustainable Solutions presentation hosted by the West Houston Association. Harry Thompson moderated a panel who delivered great insight into how communities can make wise use of public funds through native plantings that require less irrigation and using reclaim water for irrigation instead of much more expensive drinking water. Thank you Alan Steinberg for overseeing the delivery of timely and quality content for our community leaders, consultants, and service providers.

A Night in the Garden, benefiting the Fort Bend History Association, was a delightful evening spent with Director Reid Garrett, his wife Joyce, and their friend, Barbara. I am so proud to be a part of Inframark who supports the good work of many non-profits in our area.
