We are working out a few central spots so that those who would like to help can drop shelf stable snacks, fruits etc for us to get to volunteers and first responders searching for those who were lost in the Central Texas floods. Stay tuned!

Harvest and Hope is rescuing food daily headed to landfills and feeding healthy meals to unhoused Houstonians as they wait for showers and other services. We supply food to over 40 organizations as well as Title 1 schools resource centers to aid students who are on free lunch and breakfast programs with food needed at home. We supply pop up "grocery shops" to 600 families in food desert at no charge. Our newest partner is a large food pantry we deliver several hundred pounds weekly so they may assist the 150 plus families they supply groceries to each Saturday.

We are growing and as always can use ýour help! Please donate if you are able!

Often our food donors have to pull great produce from the floor because one piece of bad fruit will quickly turn the entire display of produce bad because of the gases the bad fruit will emit. It is not cost effective for them to spend the time to pull each of these and re weigh the produce etc. Harvest and Hope is able to pick up this produce and volunteers separate the good produce from the bad and we are left with enough great produce for hundreds, sometimes thousands of meals yearly! The excess can be composted or is sometimes turned over to farmers for feed for animals. We do as much as we can to keep waste to a minimum. Look at the beautiful color in this produce that will be headed to over 300 children in a food insecure neighborhood in Southeast Houston this morning. As always we need your help ! Donations are always needed to help fund our programs. You can donate here or at www.harvestandhope.com/donate
Thank you for you support!

Friends- once again we are coming to you for assistance. The numbers in need are going up each week. At the same time costs are rising! If you are able to donate we would truly appreciate it. We are increasing the numbers we are feeding hot meals each day. We are so glad to be able to assist those in need and we could really use your help to do it!

Folks it has been a tough 2022 so far. Husband is out of the hospital (maybe a bit too soon??).and has a tough road ahead of him but he is very blessed and happy to be alive. My sister's memorial was postponed due to his hospitalization. The GOOD news is we are emptying the coolers to free up room for and Christ the Redeemer's fabulous fish fry (come out and try it every Friday in Lent- it is truly the best!) It is run by the amazing Knights of Columbus at CTR many whom are our hardworking volunteers. This great food is headed to an extremely low income neighborhood in far southeast Houston. More good things coming from ! Help where you can!
