MAP Training Center, Inc. is a private, non-profit educational and service organization which provides Day Training service and supports to adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. MAP Training Center provides these services through the State of Illinois Adult DD Medicaid Waiver and is surveyed and monitored by the Illinois Department of Human Services. These services and supports
include training in Life Skills, Pre-Vocational, and Vocational Training. provides these services to adults who are enrolled in the Adult DD Waiver Program and have been awarded funding for these services by the Illinois Department of Human Services. The services and supports offered include training and support in traditional Life Skills (Self-Care, Language, Mobility, Learning, Self-Direction, and Independent Living), as well as Pre-Vocational Training and Vocational Training. All of these services and supports are designed to assist the individuals we serve in becoming as independent and self-sufficient as possible. This is accomplished through the development of Individual Service Plans which are updated at least annually. This plans, developed by the individual and their family/guardian, provide a frame work of training support and other services which support the individual in becoming as independent and self-sufficient as possible. also offers paid vocational opportunities to the individuals we serve through either vocational assignments at the main facility, community work opportunities, and at the I-24 Rest Area in Metropolis, where we sub-contract with the Illinois Department of Transportation in providing janitorial and grounds keeping services seven days per week. Individuals who are enrolled at MAP Training Center attend up to five days per week and transportation to and from MAP is provided at no additional cost to enrolled individuals. Individuals are transported to and from their home to our main facility in Karnak, Illinois.
