⛳️🌞 Carter’s got the greens dialed in and Karlstad Golf Club is READY for Memorial Day weekend and the official kick-off to summer!

Our very own “Assistant to the Superintendent” was caught putting the finishing touches on #9 today as we gear up for some BEAUTIFUL golf weather ahead. (And yes… he takes his mowing stripes very seriously 😎)

The course will be OPEN all weekend! While the clubhouse is booked with graduation events, the course remains available for golfers looking to enjoy the sunshine and squeeze in a round.

🚗 We’ve added EXTRA rental carts this season to help with busy weekends!

🥪 Grab-and-go sandwiches from Karlstad Korner will be stocked

🍕 Pizza from the Karlstad Eagles will also be available - fully cooked to perfection to enjoy between your rounds all summer long.

⛳️🚛 Fresh Wheels Have Arrived at Karlstad Golf Club & are available to rent NOW!

Last summer, our rental carts were in HIGH demand… so we decided it was time to grow the fleet!

A big thank you to our club president, Brett Spilde, for hauling in 4 additional rental carts for the season. Between tournaments, league nights, and busy weekends, these carts will help make rentals more available and keep golfers moving smoothly around the course.

We appreciate all the volunteers and board members who continue putting in the work behind the scenes to improve the experience at Karlstad Golf Club. ⛳️

⛳️ High School Girls Meet at Karlstad Golf Club ⛳️

Karlstad Golf Club was honored to host yesterday’s high school girls golf meet, as the Hallock course is still recovering from winter and melting snow. We were proud to welcome teams and provide a course in great playing shape for competition.

As we head into summer, we’ll be transitioning to our full clubhouse hours—but we wanted to share a quick update on timing:

📅 These updated hours will go into effect after school is out for the season (following Memorial Day).

🕒 Upcoming Clubhouse Hours:
Monday – Wednesday: 2 PM – 8 PM
Thursday: 12 PM – 6 PM
Friday – Sunday: 8 AM – 8 PM

👉 Important Reminder:
These are clubhouse hours only—the course remains open daily, even when the clubhouse is closed.

⛳ When the clubhouse is not open:

Please use our self-service system (QR code) to pay
Be sure to sign in before playing

⛳️ Great Day for High School Golf at Karlstad Golf Club! ⛳️

We were proud to host the Northern Freeze boys meet today here in Karlstad, while the girls competed just down the road in Greenbush. Even better—the girls wrapped up in time to come back and see the boys finish, giving us the opportunity to grab a great photo of the entire team together!

👏 Congrats to Shylo on placing 3rd for the girls today!

Despite a gloomy and windy start, the Karlstad meet stayed dry and turned into a great day on the course. (The boys may still blame the wind for those scores… 😉)

⛳️ Thank You, Karlstad! What a Night!⛳️

We want to extend a huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for our annual golf club social and supported this year’s fundraiser. From great food and conversation to games, prizes, and community connection—it was a night to remember!

👏 A special thank you to Steve Murray for leading us through the evening—welcoming guests, sharing updates, and recognizing the many people who make Karlstad Golf Club what it is. We’re especially grateful for our incredible clubhouse staff, led by Ryan Anderson and Erica Reese, along with their teams, for everything they do to keep the course running smoothly inside and out.

🏆 We were honored to introduce our first-ever Community Appreciation Award, presented to George & Joyce Wikstrom for their continued generosity and support of the course. Thank you to Joyce for accepting the award on their behalf—your contributions truly make a difference.

🤝 Thank you to the Karlstad Chamber of Commerce for presenting our membership certificate. We appreciate your support in helping strengthen connections within our community.

Men’s League will start Thursday, May 8. The Early Bird division tees off at 3:30. The Night Owl division tees off at 6:00. Two man teams. If you are new team interested in playing league this summer, drop us a Message here or indicate it through your Membership Form.

Our 2025 fee sheet is also listed at the website above. When paying your membership, we recommend check or cash at the clubhouse to avoid the 3% online credit card surcharge. Men's league dues, cart storage and MGA fees cannot be paid online. A membership letter was sent via email yesterday and will be snail-mailed out next week.
