Mrs. Noel's class had a fantastic Friday! Today the boys and girls enjoyed flashlight Friday while reading their phonics story. They disguised a wolf to reinforce their learning of the word "disguise " from the fable The Wolf in Sheep's Clothing and they got to enjoy a snack at the end of day and week, since 83% of the class completed 4 or more lessons in Zearn this week!

Ms. Priscilla’s Second Graders got to celebrate their Zearn goal today! 🎉🐷 Last week, over 80% of our class completed 3 or more Zearn lessons, which meant they earned a PIG OUT! She is so proud of how hard they worked to reach their goal! Now let’s see if we can hit 100% next week!

Ms. Priscilla’s second graders LOVE learning with songs! 🎶📚 Now, Ms. Priscilla wants to warn y’all… singing may not be her best virtue 😂, but she sure loves how much these kiddos learn when we put it to music! Today, we learned a song to help us remember that every sentence begins with a capital letter and ends with punctuation ✏️. We also learned a fun Prime Meridian song to help us remember that it runs from top to bottom and separates the Eastern and Western Hemispheres 🌎 just in time for our Social Living test next week! If singing helps it stick, you better believe Ms. Priscilla is going to sing it! 😂🎤💛

Mrs. Noel's class is learning about fables and how they teach us a lesson. One fable was "The Milkmaid and the Pail". They learned about the word "balance" by filling their pails with things they dream to buy in the future and balancing it on their head. They had to get to the market without spilling their pail of dreams because we should "never count our chickens before they hatch"!!
