We always love spending time with our community at Lā Kamehameha Ma Kohala parade and Ho‘olaule‘a. We had an expanded area this year with lots of room for our keiki spaces and educational displays. The keiki reading area was even used for reading for maybe 30% of the time! 😂 Wherever we go, we have fun! Mahalo to for organizing another wonderful event!

Our manu quilt shirts and stickers are now available online! Each design was created in celebration of native manu, their natural behavior, and their habitat. Stickers were printed in the US and our shirts were printed locally in Hilo. The graphics were created by our Development Director in a a very retro way 👀❄️ These new items can be found on our website along with more information about each design. As with all our merch, proceeds from sales support our wildlife programs! https://www.hawaiiwildlifecenter.org/shop-new.html

It’s ~ though really, every day should be earth day. We stand committed to our kuleana to get native manu back to their homes healed and healthy. We also send a huge to mahalo everyone who continues do their part for the environment. Whether it’s reducing waste, planting and nurturing native plants, leaving the beach cleaner than you found it, or other meaningful acts of care, your actions allow these patients to return to a home where they can thrive. Keep it up!
