Wrestlers for Christ is a sports-specific, non- profit ministry headquartered in Kauai, Hawaii that ministers to the wrestling community at every level throughout the United States. We exist to serve athletes, coaches, officials, and the extended wrestling community. Our desire is to equip, empower, and encourage those within our sport to help them grow in or discover a relationship with Jesus. We
are committed to taking action through the W.O.R.D.: Wrestling, Opportunities, Resources, and Discipleship. It is our belief that these 4 areas of ministry will impact and expand the vision of Wrestlers for Christ to the greatest extent.
Wrestling is at the heart of ministry in Wrestlers for Christ. Our role is to minister to the wrestling community by encouraging and equipping them to know and serve Christ. Opportunities are provided for wrestlers, coaches, officials, and more to serve and lead for Christ. These opportunities include wrestler led prayer before meets, wrestling clinics, team devotions, and one-on-one interaction that will aid in building long lasting relationships. Resources are the tangible “tools” that allow us to reach a broader segment of the wrestling community. Offering relevant and authentic resources such as bibles, devotionals, and books — by wrestlers for wrestlers — gives us connection points with huge rewards.
Discipleship keeps us actively involved with the wrestling community at a local level and beyond. Through discipleship, we strive to provide opportunities for individuals or groups to be educated by strong Christian leaders from within our wrestling community.
