As the month of May comes to an end, it’s a great time to recognize and thank our firefighter Jerrid Foreman! Jerrid consistently responds to a high number of our calls. Jerrid can be seen at his kids sporting events, high school football games as medical standby and working for the town keeping it looking nice. Jerrid also volunteers for Oaks Fire Department.
Jerrid is a valuable member of Kansas Fire Department and his dedication and commitment is noticed and appreciated!

This unit allows us to respond to calls in record time—land, water, or air!

🚨 Fire Department Advisory 🚨

Although our area is not currently under a burn ban, conditions remain high risk for fire spread due to increased wind speeds.

Our crews, along with neighboring fire departments across the county, have already responded to multiple fire incidents. These conditions can cause fires to spread quickly and become difficult to control.

🔥 Please use extreme caution when burning:
• Avoid burning during high winds
• Never leave a fire unattended
• Keep water or a hose nearby
• Ensure your fire is completely extinguished

If you see a fire that appears uncontrolled, report it immediately by calling 911.

Kansas Fire would like to congratulate Kolby Vaughan on getting into Paramedic School! Kolby serves our community as a volunteer firefighter. Kolby also serves Adair County as a Nationally Registered EMT. She will be taking anatomy and physiology classes starting in April, then begins Paramedic class in June!
Kansas Fire thanks you for always training and furthering your education to help others. We know you’ll do great and wish you the best!
