Follow the story of Sixto (Ángel Vázquez) who arrives in New York City in March 2020 to take care of a family business. The last member of a Puerto Rican family has passed on. His only reference point about Puerto Ricans in New York is the West Side Story. Therefore, Sixto has a preconceived opinion of them. What he does not know is that this place had become the unofficial Puerto Rican Embassy during the 1920’s. He is about to discover some amazing stories. His life will change forever. YOURS TOO!

The Other Side Story is not a parody. It’s about our steep, but glorious history. The struggle to keep our cultural roots alive, our “Puerto Ricanity.”
