Scholarships for the next generation of Missouri’s hospitality industry are almost closed.

Each year, the Missouri Restaurant Association Education Foundation awards scholarships to students and industry professionals pursuing careers in culinary arts, hospitality, and restaurant management. These scholarships are designed to support the people who keep our industry moving forward, from high school ProStart students to restaurant employees working to advance their careers.

Hospitality is built on hard work, creativity, and leadership. Supporting education and training for those entering the field helps ensure Missouri’s restaurants remain strong for years to come.

We’re excited to invite you to participate in a first-of-its-kind, industry-wide hospitality career fair designed to strengthen our region’s workforce pipeline and connect employers directly with emerging and experienced talent in preparation for the World's biggest sporting event this summer!

Hosted collaboratively by the Hotel & Lodging Association of Greater Kansas City, Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association, Greater Kansas City Attractions Association, and Summit Technology Academy, this event brings together hotels, restaurants, attractions, educators, and job seekers for a high-impact day focused on connecting employers with hospitality talent.

The Hospitality Industry Career Fair will take place on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Hy-Vee Arena, and will be structured in two waves to maximize meaningful connections:

The morning session will focus on high school juniors, seniors, and college students and the afternoon session will be dedicated to the adult working professional.

🍽️✨ The Missouri Prostart Culinary Competition is happening February 19–20 at the Oasis Hotel in Springfield MO! ProStart schools from across the state will compete in culinary and restaurant management categories for the chance to represent Missouri at the National ProStart Competition.
