May is Mental Health Awareness month. We do not have to carry our burdens alone. 💙💚

Social Determinants of Mental Health are shaped by social, economic, and environmental factors. Many common mental health struggles are a result of unfair systems, inequalities, and redlining. CHC works to bridge gaps in care and help everyone gain access to the health and mental health care they need.

Here are ways CHC can assist community members on their mental health journey:
💙Connect with our Community Health Workers! Our CHWs can assist with getting connected to mental health services. visit wycohealth.com/gethelp
💚Join Fathers United - a peer support group to educate, support, and empower fathers in their journey through fatherhood.
💙Follow WyCo Mutual Aid and attend a community event centered around joy and togetherness.

Big news!🎉 Community Health Council of Wyandotte County is proud to be named a Impact 100 partner for 2026 AGAIN!

We’re excited to receive unrestricted funding from United Way that will allow our Community Health Workers and Kansas Assistance Network Health Insurance agents to continue their work in resource connection, wrap-around services, and enrolling community members into lifeline programs. United Way unrestricted funds will also help our Maternal Health Data Sharing Network (Cradle KC) continue their work in maternal health advocacy, and our We Are Wyandotte teams to continue their work in advocacy, community outreach, and mutual aid.

We are inspired every day to continue our work in enhancing health equity and access to meet the health related needs of Wyandotte County and the Greater Kansas City Metro.

Thank you, United Way of Greater Kansas City, for recognizing and supporting our vital work!
