This week is National Community Health Worker Appreciation Week!

This is a week to honor and appreciate our front line Community Health Workers who are out building trust and connecting community members to vital health and social services!

Community Health Workers are essential to the communities they serve because they promote health equity by improving access to care through education, advocacy, and helping explain health information in a way that is easier to understand. Community Health Workers help communities feel confident and self sufficient!

Community Health Council is proud of our Community Health Workers for their dedication and unwavering support of our Kansas City Metro community!

On August 19, Kansas City, Kansas awoke to devastating damages caused by a severe storm that came through with no warning. Justice for Wyandotte lead the charge with recovery efforts with assistance from Care Beyond The Boulevard Heart to Heart International Kanbe's Markets Rosedale Development Association Avenue Of Life The Village Initiative, Inc. and more.
Thousands of community members are still without power with severe damages to homes and vehicles.
