Calling all garden helpers! 🧑🏼‍🌾 Come lend a hand in the Volker Community Garden as we work on improvements funded through the PLANT Grant.

Starting this Saturday, August 15 at 9am, join us for regular garden workdays through September 15:

KUMC representatives will join us at the August VNA Neighborhood Meeting to discuss upcoming campus construction, anticipated neighborhood impacts, and answer residents’ questions.

The University of Kansas Medical Center campus is preparing for several years of construction, expansion, and infrastructure improvements. Come be a part of the conversation and learn how Volker will be impacted. 6:30 social time, 7pm meeting start.

The Volker Community Survey is open August 1-31!

Share your thoughts on neighborhood priorities, events, beautification, advocacy, and more. The anonymous survey takes approximately 8-10 minutes to complete and each Volker resident age 18 or older is encouraged to participate.

As a thank you, participants can enter a drawing for one of five $100 gift cards to a local business! Your feedback will help guide the Volker Neighborhood Association priorities and advocacy in the years ahead.

Join us for a fun-filled morning with neighborhood families! 🫧

Art Drop KC will be leading rock painting, including produce markers for the garden and colorful creations to brighten the neighborhood.

Bubbles & Goo Fun Factory will be there with slime stations, bubbles, and the chance to create your own slime!

Come enjoy a morning of creativity and neighborhood fun in the garden! 🪴

A little impromptu garden workday!

We tightened up the chicken coop for our girlies, weeded the beds, worked on the greenhouse, and harvested some fresh produce. The garden community is truly chef’s kiss.
