COMBAT: What should Jackson County voters know?

First and foremost: this is not a new tax.

On November 3, voters will decide whether to continue Jackson County's existing quarter-cent Anti-Crime Sales Tax for another 10 years.

The tax currently supports law enforcement, courts, prevention, substance-use disorder treatment and community-based programs—including services at Healing House KC.

At Healing House, COMBAT funding helps support life-skills and employment services at our Recovery Community Center.

If the measure is continued, the tax continues through March 31, 2037. If it is not continued, the existing tax expires March 31, 2027.

Get informed. Make your voice heard November 3.

🏡❤️ Building More Than a House — Building Hope!

A HUGE thank you to the amazing volunteers from First Federal Bank of Kansas City who spent their Saturday morning making our newest recovery home, Grace House, an even more beautiful place to call home!

These hardworking volunteers rolled up their sleeves, cleared brush, filled holes, cleaned up the yard, and even built a fire pit! 🔥💪

But here's what makes this partnership so special. First Federal didn't just help fund the renovations of Grace House — they showed up to do the hard work, too! That's what true community partnership looks like!

Soon, Grace House will welcome 10 women on their recovery journeys, providing a safe, supportive place to heal, grow, and build a new future. And thanks to these wonderful volunteers, they'll have a beautiful outdoor space to enjoy, connect, and build community.

To our friends at First Federal Bank of Kansas City, THANK YOU for investing not just your resources, but your hearts and hands into transforming lives!

We can't wait to say to 10 amazing women ... WELCOME HOME! 🏡❤️
