Friday May 15 was a special day for St.Patrick’s School in KCK. It was the annual Field Daywhere the students spend their and energies outside in fun and games.

To help fuel their energies members of the church’s men’s club, The Green Club, got together and grilled hot dogs and hamburgers for students and staff.

A good time was had by all.

Every Friday during Lent the Green Club served a fish or shrimp dinner to several hundred persons each night. Besides cod, catfish, or shrimp we served fries, cole slaw, mac ‘n cheese or green beans.

Today, President Mike Reed presented Father Mark and Laura a check for seven thousand dollars from the profits of those six dinners. Thanks for all who attended any of the fish dinners.

All those that everyone throws into the can bin near the back of the parish center add up. The Green Club took in 2246 pounds of aluminum cans on April 28th. It took 3 loaded pick up trucks and a large trailer to haul all the cans. And 2.5 hours to unload at the foundry.

Thanks for contributing all the cans. Keep them coming. Just throw them over the fence in the bin marked cans.
