We are so grateful for the gift of fresh produce we get to share at the pantry, and a big part of that blessing is thanks to our amazing volunteer, Delores Shaut.

Every Tuesday, Delores gets up early, heads out to God’s Bounty’s farm, and and hand-picks all of the fresh produce herself. Then she brings it straight to the pantry so our neighbors can take home healthy, beautiful fruits and vegetables.

Thank you, Delores, for your hard work, loving heart, and quiet dedication. And thank you to God’s Bounty for partnering with us to serve our community so generously.

In vulnerable countries such as the Philippines, the core causes of instability include poverty, migration, domestic violence, substance abuse and communication breakdown. For many Filipino families, these barriers can seem incredibly steep.

Through the Safeguarding Families program, DCIPS offers home visits, marriage enrichment, parenting workshops, youth safeguard training, therapy sessions, spiritual learning and recreational activities. Reaching approximately 2,500 adults and children, the program fosters resilience, stability and long-term well-being across the community, helping the next generation grow in security and care.

Depuis sa création en juin 2025, ce réseau de conversations n’a cessé de croître, enregistrant plus de 15 000 conversations, pouvant aller jusqu’à 100 par jour, avec 750 partenaires bénévoles à l’écoute. Si vous souhaitez parler à quelqu’un, il vous suffit d’appeler un numéro gratuit et vous serez mis∙e en contact avec un∙e bénévole choisi∙e au hasard. Cette initiative bénéficiera désormais de l’aide de l’AIC Allemagne, comptant près de 45 000 volontaires, et de son expérience de longue date dans la lutte contre la solitude. 🇩🇪 Combatting loneliness through free phone calls 📞💬👋 AIC Germany has recently partnered with Malteser Germany to support the “Plaudernetz”. This chat network has been growing constantly since its launch in June 2025, with more than 15,000 conversations, up to 100 conversations a day, and 750 volunteer conversation partners. To start a conversation, anyone can call a freephone number and be put in touch with a randomly selected conversation partner. An initiative that will now benefit from the support of AIC Germany, which has a membership of nearly 45,000 volunteers, and from the association’s extensive experience in combating loneliness. Esta red de charla no ha dejado de crecer desde su creación en junio de 2025, se han registrado hasta el momento más de 15 000 conversaciones, las cuales pueden llegar a ser hasta 100 por día, y hoy cuenta con 750 voluntarios encargados de la escucha. Para iniciar la conversación, solo tiene que llamar a un número gratuito y en ese momento se le conectará a un voluntario elegido al azar. Esta iniciativa contará, a partir de ahora, con la ayuda de AIC Alemania, que cuenta con 45 000 voluntarios, y con la amplia experiencia de la asociación en la lucha contra la soledad.
