KC Jazz ALIVE As a non-profit jazz catalyst organization, KC Jazz ALIVE promotes a unified voice for jazz in KC! The Mission of Kansas City Jazz A.L.I.V.E.

is:
A – Building Awareness of the needs of our jazz community,
L – Serving as a Listening body,
I – Providing a platform for the integration of Ideas,
V – Functioning as a Voice for the jazz community and
E – Providing Exposure to applicable resources….. For the Greater Kansas City Jazz Community. We believe that the more widespread the participation in Kansas City Jazz A.L.I.V.E, the better we will be able to fulfill our mission.

It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of Sonny Rollins. The Saxophone Colossus died this afternoon at his home in Woodstock, NY at the age of 95. “I think when the creative person ends, he continues in the next existence. I’m a person who believes this life isn’t the be-all and end-all of everything. A spiritual person doesn’t feel like that.” –S.R. (2009)

Please join us in welcoming Anne Clarrissimeaux to KC Jazz ALIVE as our new Marketing, Events and Operations Coordinator!

Anne is a storyteller at heart, with experience in journalism, public relations, strategic communications, and marketing leadership. She has helped organizations of all sizes tell compelling stories and build stronger community connections.

Originally from Dallas, Anne recently moved to Kansas City with her husband and has quickly embraced the city’s strong sense of community, arts and culture, and collaborative spirit. We’re excited for all she will bring to KC Jazz ALIVE and the work ahead.
