A little fall catch-up from your friends at CBB! 💚

As the summer heat gives way to cooler fall weather (finally!), we thought we’d take a moment to catch you up on some of the things we’ve been up to lately.(spoiler alert: we’ve been staying busy)

We’ve started a new Tuesday physical therapy clinic at the Beehive, giving our patients an opportunity to work on their mobility, strength, and recovery.

We have also added a full-time psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner to our team. He’s been seeing patients both on the streets and during our stationary clinics. This allows us to continue providing much-needed mental health services to those we serve.

We’ve also been busy hosting flu shot clinics, getting out to community outreach events, and connecting with our neighbors across Kansas City as much as possible.

And of course, all of this is happening alongside our regularly scheduled clinics, street outreach, and the day-to-day work of keeping CBB moving!

As we enjoy the last bit of fall before another Kansas City winter rolls around, our teams are already looking ahead to the colder months and the challenges they bring for our unhoused neighbors.

For now, enjoy a little peek at what we’ve been up to. We’re grateful to have you following along, and can’t wait to share more of what we’ve got going on 💚

Today!!

Our monthly foot clinic has moved to the 3rd Tuesday of the month! Stop into the Beehive today if you are needing some extra attention on your feet!

We can help with foot soaks, toenail trims, callus reductions, diabetic foot testing, treatment of common rashes, wound assessments, ingrown toenail assessments, and more!

We know how important feet are, so stop in today. See you in a little bit!!

Bringing Carehouse Home 💚

Construction is still underway at Carehouse! While we wait for bigger updates to share with you we wanted to take this opportunity to give a closer look at the project, explain what Carehouse does and share why these renovations are so important to our community.

This project has been years in the making. Our renovations will expand Carehouse from 16 patient rooms to 39, while improving the spaces our teams use to provide medical care, physical therapy, meals, case management, and other support patients need during their recovery.

Whether you’ve followed along since the beginning or are just joining we are incredibly grateful for everyone who has helped us get this far. But there is still work left to do.

Whether you donate, share these posts, tell someone about the project, or simply continue following along as the building transforms, you can help us Bring Carehouse Home.
