Mid-America Regional Council

Mid-America Regional Council KC Metro's association of city and county governments and metropolitan planning organization. Some issues reach across the boundaries of individual communities.

Often they can only be addressed by working together. The Mid-America Regional Council promotes regional cooperation and develops innovative solutions. We help create a community people are proud to call home. MARC is a nonprofit association of city and county governments and the metropolitan planning organization for the bistate Kansas City region. Governed by a board of local elected officials,

we serve nine counties and 119 cities. We provide a forum for the region to work together to advance social, economic and environmental progress. MARC is funded by federal, state and private grants, local contributions and earned income. A major portion of our budget is passed through to local governments and other agencies for programs and services. If you are looking for more information about MARC, please visit http://marc.org.

Orange Ozone Action Alert issued for Wednesday, Sept. 2.
This is the second alert in a row.
Be prepared for poor air quality in the Kansas City region.

The MARC Air Quality Program has issued an orange Ozone Action Alert for Wednesday, Sept. 2.

Continued extreme heat, little to no cloud cover, dirty air coming into the Kansas City region, and our own locally produced pollution are all ingredients for high ozone levels that will continue into Wednesday.

For more information about air quality, visit https://airqkc.org/.
