Back in August, Missouri voters rejected an amendment to eliminate state income taxes. Now lawmakers have an even bolder tax-free dream for you to vote on.

Amendment 7 would create a permanent investment endowment called the Show-Me Prosperity Fund, with the goal of using investment earnings to replace all state taxes. 

But have lawmakers shown us where the money is going to come from?

Amendment 6 would block lawmakers from tinkering with the state’s more than century old citizen initiative process. If passed, it would also make it tough for lawmakers to change a law passed by voters in the future, requiring 80 percent support in both legislative chambers.
