Fellow members and friends,
It is with a heavy heart that I share the sad news that Chris “Champion” Williams passed away yesterday afternoon at Research Hospital. Chris fought the good fight as he battled the many challenges related to his cranial hemorrhaging for which he was hospitalized 4 weeks ago.
Chris had been a dedicated and loyal KCSGA member since 1990 and truly loved competing in golf. In addition to the Swingers, Chris, a retired KC City Engineer, was also a regular participant in the City’s golf league every year. He was well known at both Swope and Minor Golf course.
Everyone that knew Chris will miss him and fondly remember his “Champion” declaration!
Details of funeral arrangements will be shared once they are known. Please keep Chris’s wife (Lola), his family, and close friends in your prayers as they mourn, and navigate Chris’s loss.
