Thank you to everyone who attended our tour, stories, and mini investigation last night! This was our first time holding this type of event at the Kansas State Penitentiary, and it was a success!

Event information for tonight!

The event is sold out! You must have a ticket to attend! But don’t worry! A lot more to come in October!

Dear Inmates,

The walls are waiting… and so are we. We’re beyond excited to have you join us for a hauntingly sweet night at the Kansas State Penitentiary, hosted by Apex Paranormal, this Saturday, August 8th at either 8 pm or 10 pm. The energy is already stirring (did you see those lights?!) what ghostly mischief might find you in the dark?

Read on so your night goes smoothly (and maybe just a little spooky in all the right ways).

Event Details:
Date & Time: tonight! August 8th! Either promptly at 8 pm or 10 pm.
Check-In: Begins at 7:45 PM or 9:45 PM— don’t keep the spirits waiting
Location: Kansas State Penitentiary, Lansing, KS

Parking Information:
Main parking is available at the Lansing Historical Society Museum (one-way lot follow the signs like a good little wanderer).
Additional parking can be found on E. Kansas Street.

You may also park by the gate we enter but hear this clearly:
Do NOT park in front of any gates (even if they look unused). DOC law rules here, and they do not play around. Vehicles in restricted spots may be moved or towed.

Arrival Instructions:
Meet us at Gate Dock No. 3, marked with a stone reading “August 1958.”

An Apex Paranormal team member will be there to greet you and guide you inside starting around 7:45 PM or 9:45 PM.

You’ll need to sign a waiver from the Lansing Historical Society before entering, your official permission slip into the unknown.

Important: The prison gates will lock at 10 minutes after the tour starts. Late arrivals risk being left outside with only the wind for company and we’d hate for you to miss a moment.

Important Safety Reminders:
Do not enter the prison without an Apex Paranormal or Lansing Historical Society guide. This place is large, shadowy, and very easy to get lost in. Stay with us, we know where the stories live.

Safety is our top priority. The Kansas State Penitentiary is still an active facility, so follow all instructions from our team at all times.

Bathroom:
There is a single portapotty available. Rustic charm at its finest.

Wear comfortable walking shoes! There is a lot of walking!

You may bring your own flashlight or borrow one of ours!

Come curious. Come brave. And maybe, don’t come alone.

New event for those who want to dip their toes into the paranormal stories before spooky season starts! 👻 Tix are flying out the window! Get yours before they are gone!

You've been to the history tour, and you asked about stories, not just the stories that happened when the inmates were alive, but the stories of when they died. And of those that call the prison home after their deaths that weren't even inmates. Correctional officers, women, people who resided on the land long before, or maybe someone who gave a newsworthy performance....

The ghost tales range from funny and friendly to scary! They will send chills down your spine!

Apex Paranormal will take you on a tour of the prison while sharing these tales, and pointing out paranormal hot spots.

There will be equipment set up through out the various buildings and we will explain how everything works!

We will discuss various ways to investigate the paranormal. It is not "as seen on TV", but is still an amazing time and adventure.

The last 20-30 minutes we will conduct a mini investigation! We will try out what we have learned, and see if anything happens.

Think of this as Paranormal 101 and Apex as your instructors! We want you to have as much fun as us.

• Admin Building - Cafeteria, Chapel, Auditorium

Please arrive 5-10 minutes before scheduled start to check in and sign waivers.

Wear comfy/cool clothes, and walking shoes!

* Bring water! It's August in Kansas! No fainting allowed on the tours! We want you to be happy and hydrated.

Take lots of pictures! We’ve captured amazing things just on the tours!

Apex has flashlights you can borrow, so you dont need to remember your own; just remember to return ours.

Twelve years ago. Twelve. Years. Ago. Elijah and a few friends had an idea. An idea that manifested into Apex Paranormal!

Apex did their very first investigation at the Missouri State Penitentiary. You know the place. The bloodiest 47 acres in America. Where if you didn’t believe that the spirit world could reach out and touch you, you would leave knowing it could!

Happy Birthday, Apex! For our celebration, we are planning to mix it up on different types of events, reaching out to new filming locations, working with some amazing people, gathering stories, and primary resources! We are taking it further (or into the further?? Iykyk) than ever before!

Apex Paranormal loves Ashmore Estates! This last week, they were hit by a tornado, and their roof, and other parts of the building were damaged! Clean up, and damage repair is underway.

He might have visited last October too.
