Our Plaza Toastmasters Club members showed up and presented at our annual speaking contest. Winners will advance to the next level and compete on February 22nd. All who competed are winners, when they seek to sharpen their speaking skills. Hats off Plaza Toastmasters!

We are so excited for this 2024-2025 season for Plaza Toastmasters Club. Thank you to this wonderful team for volunteering their time and efforts to help us all on our Toastmaster’s journeys!

There’s little we love more than an Ice Breaker speech at Plaza Toastmasters! During this week’s meeting we were lucky to have TWO wonderful Ice Breakers speeches from Jack and Mukhtar. It is so much fun getting to know our members this way, and learning a little about their life journeys.

PlazaTM is made up of diverse, brilliantly gifted, and driven individuals who come together twice a month to work on communication and leadership goals in a supportive and safe community environment.

Hello Plaza Toastmasters!

I regret to share that we've postponed this evening's meeting until NEXT Monday, January 29th, at 6:30 due to the ice predictions this evening. We are typically very consistent with our meetings, but this winter is not being kind to us!

We are walking into the weekend with a few wins to celebrate at Plaza Toastmasters Club!🎉

A big Congratulations goes to our new member, Jack, on winning our latest Table Topics session. He answered his prompt “Is GPS making us more stupid or smarter?” like he had been thinking about it his whole life.🙌😃 Well done, Jack. We can’t wait to see where your Journey at Plaza Toastmasters takes you.

Another happy Congratulations goes to F***y on completing a new level of the Pathways Program! 🎉 F***y is a music professor and a talented pianist who just released her first album “Between the Andes and the Amazon”— linked in the comments below. Run and grab a copy, and perhaps consider gifting this album to a special someone on your list this holiday season as well. 🎁

Also a warm welcome goes to our newest member, Kathy, for officially being voted into the club. We are excited to have you join this incredible community. ✨

Our last meeting of the 2023 year will be on Monday, December 11th, highlighting our hilariously goofy Holiday White Elephant GIft Exchange… Oh, what fun!

Our meeting last night was small but mighty. The unofficial theme was “flexibility” as we changed some roles around in real time. What wonderful practice for the real world when you never know exactly how a meeting will take shape.

An “Ice Breaker Speech” 🧊 is the first of many our new members give and last nights did not disappoint! We loved learning more about this member and his speeches to come are something to look forward to. 👏🏻

We also inducted 3️⃣ new members into our club! 🎉 They jumped right in by giving some fabulous Table Topics (impromptu) speeches like seasoned pros!

Our guests shared wonderful club feedback “this group is very welcoming” and “this was so well organized, everyone seems so personable” ☺️

As we continue renewal season there are a few more open spots in the club. Please message us if you are interested in learning more 📨

Our meeting last night was lead by the the fabulous Sara! We learned so much about jazz music and almost all memebers have added vitiating a KC jazz club to their bucket lists! 🎶

We enjoyed three inspiring speaches and celebrated Thomas’ ice breaker! Congratulations 🎊

Our evaluation portion was lead by Emma and our three insightful evaluators Jeevan, Vicki, and Tanesha. 👏🏻
