Last week, Friends in Faith KC students from Bishop Ward High School and their Adult Friend mentors visited Giving the Basics in Kansas City, Kansas, for a tour and volunteer session to assemble hygiene packets. Giving the Basics distributes packets to over 2,700 pantries and school districts throughout Kansas to help students stay in school and feel confident.

Last evening, Friends in Faith students and their families joined with our Adult Friends and their families for a joyful summer potluck! It was a wonderful chance to reconnect, share delicious food, and deepen relationships in a relaxed and fun environment.

Wow, students and their Adult Friends went on an eye-opening field trip today to Unbound, the nonprofit child sponsorship organization. We participated in an international poverty immersion experience and then enjoyed a pizza lunch together. Check out the amazing work of Unbound.org.

One of the most meaningful parts of each session is sharing prayer requests between students and adults. Prayer is powerful and also a reminder of the strength we find in accompanying one another.
