Unit 2, Kansas City… we delivered gift bags to Veterans in the lobby at the KCVA Hospital on Thursday the 12th, for Veteran appreciation week. We had my (Angie’s) 2 youngest grandkids as little helpers… they brought a lot of smiles to a lot of people!

Unit 2, Kansas City delivered dinner to the Fisher House. We couldn’t decide what tree we’ve wanted our picture in front of, so we did one in front of each tree.. lol!! The ham, potato and sweet potatoes were in the oven keeping warm, we pulled everything out and got to visit with some of the guests while they were fixing a plate. Going down there to deliver dinner is so heartwarming, and the staff and guests appreciate it so much!

Unit 2, Kansas City had a fun day delivering gifts to the Cameron Veterans Home this morning… we were only able to see 1 of the veterans open gifts since some of them were at the Casino (for Casino day) or doing activities… it was a blessing to see the smile on the veterans face! Then we were only able to deliver gifts to 2 floors in the KC VA Hospital , the rest we left with the employees in Volunteers services. I wish we would have been able to get more pictures!
