Join us THIS Friday, June 12, as we gather to honor the beautifully interwoven identities of Jewish and LGBTQ+ communities. This year's Pride Shabbat moves beyond a simple celebration—it is an invitation to ground ourselves in our shared legacies and the power of community storytelling.

Alongside our traditional Shabbat prayers, we are honored to welcome Nasir Anthony Montalvo, founder of the KC Black Q***r Digital Archives (B/qKC), as a guest speaker.

Our doors and hearts are open. Please join us for an evening of joy and belonging. Vegetarian appetizers and desserts will be provided.

All (Kol Ami members and guests) are welcome! Please RSVP to [email protected].

We are heartsick about the senseless killing of three good souls while they were going about their work of caring for Muslim children. All of us at Congregation Kol Ami stand with the Muslim community to fight against Islamophobia, and all baseless hate, wherever it comes from. While these tragedies fueled by leaders who feed into the cruelty and inhumanity of a gun-loving culture render us exhausted for having to keep repeating these tragedies inflicted on our kids, we will not stop fighting for a community and a world free from hate, and free from the threat of gun violence. Rabbi Doug Alpert

Here in Minneapolis with a clergy gathering from all over the country in solidarity with ICE out of Minnesota. Participated in a pilgrimage to the neighborhood where both Renee Goode and George Floyd were murdered. Feelings of profound sadness and angered st the utter disregard for the value of human life; the fear felt by people here in Minneapolis, and… feelings of hope, Damian’s joy for the response to the tragedies by coming together as a community, caring for each other amidst the constant attacks, violence and abductions by the ICE authoritarian goons. On this day I choose hope and joy over despair, anger and fear. Look forward to bringing positive action back home.
