We want to celebrate our teen intern that graduated our summer internship! Charlie is an amazing teenager that works hard and dreams of helping others some day. Some of residents and Opac time came out to celebrate her success and bring gifts.

We had over 90 people for National night Out! Over 60 back to school supplies and backpacks handed out. The residents really came together and invested in the belief this is more than an event this is community. Special Thank you to The church of the Four Corners for donating school supplies, backpacks and lending their bouncing houses and volunteering their youth and people to help. Art Tech thank you for lending us Ms Taylor who did face painting, Coach Wallace forgetting extra donations for school supplies. KCPD for coming to our event and heading out hygiene products for our residence. KCFD station 39 for hitting up firefighter hat, coloring books hanging out with our guest, getting your face painted playing with kids an and just becoming one of us to build better relationships. Thanks to all that helped!

Summer has been a busy but in all the goods ways. We did a Senior Hawaiian luau, which was a big hit! A big thank you to the seniors that stepped up and came together to help our Resident Service Coordinator and helped set up and clean up. We had such a wonderful Friday evening help and a great turnout. Looking forward to the next one we do next year.

We are thrilled! Our national night out and back-to-school event is next month. This event aims to strengthen relationships with police and local responders. To achieve this, we have partnered with Art Tech, an organization that offers internships to inner-city youth. These interns will create thank-you gifts for our first responders, including pictures of them. The balloon in the image is with our Resident Service Coordinator, who is also a summer intern. Additionally, the Art Tech youth designed a beautiful drawing for our kids to paint, depicting their feelings about how Operation Pathways would be reflected in a picture and another made a color page to honor what what Operation Pathways does for your city youth . Thank you, Art Tech!
