Thank you to everyone who made this possible 🤎

With the support of 13 donors, we raised $444.95 for our first annual Smileys Bundle of Joy —Mother’s Day Diaper Drive. To our online community who reposted, liked, shared, commented, and encouraged us your support carried this drive.

To the Joy Squad, thank you for being on standby, showing up with patience, and helping run this event with excellence. And to our in‑person community, thank you for allowing us to use your space and for supporting the mothers and babies of Kansas City.

A special thank‑you to our partners at HappyBottoms for connecting mothers to ongoing diaper support. We appreciate you deeply.

Together, we donated over 755 items across 10 bundles each one filled with care, dignity, and love.

Happy Mother’s Day 🤎On May 10, Smileys Nonprofit sends our love, greetings, and celebration to every mother around the world.

Happy Mother’s Day to:
• the moms
• the single moms
• the foster moms
• the stepmoms
• the eldest daughters who became second mothers
• the grieving mothers
• the mothers‑to‑be
• the women praying to become mothers

Every day is Mother’s Day here at Smileys but today is the day the world pauses just for you.

Across the city, people filled the flower aisles at Lowe’s and Trader Joe’s, grabbing bouquets without even checking the price, the same way everyone rushes for a turkey the night before Thanksgiving. That’s how deeply mothers are loved.

We appreciate you for everything you do for being the most nurturing beings among us, our first teachers, our first comfort, our first attachment, our first home.

And as our beloved Prophet ﷺ said:“Paradise lies beneath a mother’s feet.”
A man once asked, “O Messenger of Allah, who is most deserving of my good treatment?”
The Prophet replied, “Your mother.”
He asked again, “Then who?”
The Prophet said, “Your mother.”
He asked a third time, “Then who?”
The Prophet said, “Your mother.
”Only then did he say, “Then your father.”
