Kansas Branch of Dialogue Institute of the Southwest aims to promote mutual understanding, respect and cooperation among people of diverse faiths and cultures in Greater Kansas City Area, Wichita and Lawrence by creating opportunities for direct communication and meaningful shared experiences. Dialogue Institute grew out of the need to address the question, “How can citizens of the world live in p

eace and harmony?” The Institute was established in 2002 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Many participants of the Institute’s activities are inspired by the discourse and pioneering dialogue initiatives of the Turkish Muslim scholar, writer and educator Fethullah Gulen.

A Colorful Morning of Creativity and Friendship

This month, we had the pleasure of gathering with our friends from St. Paul Methodist Church for a wonderful fabric bowl workshop and brunch.

Everyone had the opportunity to create a unique fabric bowl using beautiful colors, patterns, and designs. It was inspiring to see so much creativity around the table!

A special thank-you goes to Cheryl, one of the members of St. Paul Methodist Church, for generously sharing her time, talent, and expertise with us. We are so grateful for her kindness, patience, and the joy she brought to the class.

More than anything, it was a beautiful morning filled with friendship, conversation, creativity, and delicious food. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this gathering so memorable.

We look forward to many more opportunities to learn, create, and grow together.

From August 29–December 15, volunteer families from the Dialogue Institute of Kansas City and the Raindrop Foundation are opening their homes to bring people together for an evening of conversation, hospitality, and connection.
