Snapshots from BoysGrow Summer: Week One. We are elated to have everyone on the farm again.

For the next 8 weeks, we will be sharing program behind the scenes, a day in the life on the farm, youth interviews, and more! We hope you follow along. It's going to be an eventful summer.

Now introducing The Interrupted Supper: Dinner Menu.

Guests can look forward to a a curated menu prepared by Chef Roux, including:

CAESAR SALAD with butter lettuce, bacon jam, charred pimento peppers, bread crumb gremolata, soft boiled egg, grated Manchego cheese, and achiote Caesar dressing.

MISO MARINATED TROUT AND CHICKEN served with pot liquor fumet, cornmeal crumble, collard chimichurri,
and crispy okra with a spicy pimento oil.

CORNBREAD TRES LECHES cake with coconut pastry cream and Hibiscus powder.

Join us on June 13th for The Interrupted Supper. It’s a night of delicious food, dancing, and good vibes.

Chef Roux will be serving Caesar salad, miso trout and chicken, and a tres leches cornbread.

In between dinner and dessert guests are invited to learn some Bollywood dance moves from a Swarupa Bakre, dance instructor.

After dessert DJ G3Wizz will get the dance party started.

COMMITMENT. This is the second core value of BoysGrow. The BoysGrow program requires a 2-year commitment, because, like many things in life, farming takes patience and commitment.

When you commit to showing up and doing the work, you show that you are trustworthy and reliable. Both of these are skills we try to instill in the young men we mentor.

PRIDE. The first value of BoysGrow. We teach the young men to take pride in what you do and everything will fall in place.

A healthy version of pride can be a great motivator for life. We strive to have the young men be proud of the work and their accomplishments on the farm.

At BoysGrow, this has always been at the heart of what we do.

Yes, we grow food. Yes, we build, cook, and work with our hands.

But we are also creating a space for young men to grow into themselves, build confidence, learn responsibility and find community.
