Humana and the Veterans of Foreign Wars VFW thank everyone who joined us in combating hunger at the 123rd VFW National Convention by helping to pack 10,000 pounds of sweet potatoes into family-sized portions for Harvesters - The Community Food Network. Your inspiring efforts were a great way to cap off our 2022 Uniting to Combat Hunger Campaign in which we provided more than 1 million meals to food insecure individuals and families!

The Veterans of Foreign Wars VFW and Humana. are pleased to announce that our annual Uniting to Combat Hunger campaign has raised 1,018,832 meals since the 2021 VFW convention – more than double the goal of 500,000 meals!

We extend our deepest thanks to all of those who participated in the campaign and donated to local food banks benefiting veterans, service members, their families and local communities.

Since the VFW teamed up with Humana and Feeding America® to establish the Uniting to Combat Hunger (UTCH) initiative in 2018, the campaign remains a staple in fighting hunger and food insecurity in America.

We took our fight against food insecurity to southern Missouri where hunger was dealt a major blow! We raised a whopping 1,150+ pounds in food donations for Ozarks Food Harvest and The Salvation Army - Springfield, MO. The food drive was capped off by Humana Day at Silver Dollar City Attractions where cash proceeds were also received. A huge THANK YOU to all of our partners and donors who participated in this highly successful effort!
