💙 The season of giving is upon us!

The holidays can make a new space feel like home, but our holiday shelves are looking a bit bare, and we need your help to fill them with seasonal cheer!

Help us stock up on spooky decor, fall centerpieces, menorahs, ornaments, string lights, Christmas trees and wreaths so our guests can celebrate every occasion in their new homes!

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Soroptimist programs, including the Live Your Dream Awards, focus on assisting women to overcome this and other obstacles and build better lives.

Reminder--Purple Thursday is on October 15th, a National Day of Action encouraging people to wear purple in solidarity with survivors.

Over half of our Live Your Dream Award recipients are survivors of domestic violence, trafficking or sexual assault. Nearly all of the women and families we serve have overcome enormous obstacles including poverty, teen pregnancy, and drug or alcohol addiction. Live Your Dream Awards recipients may use the cash award to offset any costs associated with their efforts to attain higher education, such as books, childcare, tuition and transportation.

Every woman brings her own experiences, talents, knowledge and perspective. When we create spaces where women can support, encourage and learn from one another, everyone has the opportunity to flourish.

Soroptimism is about recognising the strength in our differences and using our collective voice to create opportunities for women and girls.

There is room for every woman to grow. 🌼
