From hospitals to classrooms, factories to offices, residential developments to energy facilities, it’s workers who build, power, and sustain our communities. Today we honor those who fought for the rights we have today and stand with those continuing the fight for fair wages, safe conditions, and workplace protections on the job.

A proposal aimed at cracking down on labor fraud in Missouri’s construction industry was heard in the Senate Committee on Rules and Ethics, as organized labor groups urged lawmakers to increase oversight and penalties for what they describe as widespread abuse.
