North Kansas City Schools PTA Council The North Kansas City School District PTA Council serves & supports all local units in NKC schools.

As board transitions approach for many PTA units, this is a great reminder of why strong financial procedures matter.

Best practice is to have:
• An updated budget report available at every meeting
• A monthly bank reconciliation report shared each month
• A list of all transactions from the previous month available for board review

These simple steps help provide transparency, protect volunteers, and keep units in compliance with PTA financial standards.

If your unit needs help setting up these processes, understanding reports, or preparing for transition season, please reach out to NKC District Council PTA. We are happy to help support your board and set your team up for success.
