Today’s the day, KC and we’re one of the stops on KC’s first ever Cozy Book Crawl! We’re excited to welcome you to Willa’s Books and Vinyl as you journey around the city! While you’re exploring, make sure you use the hashtags and .

How to participate:
Pick up your passport at our store or any one of the participating bookstores. Then, hop from local bookstore to local bookstore, stamping your complimentary passport.

Visit at least half of the participating bookstores and you’ll be able to enter the Silent Reading Party at , using your passport as admission.

Thanks to our friends at we have 10 tote bags that we’re selling for $18 each that celebrate the 130th anniversary of AFRO American Newspapers.

100% of the proceeds will go towards community events and the management of Willa’s Books and Vinyl.

This tote bag celebrates the innovative ways that Black folks have shared information and stories for centuries while also contributing to this practice at Willa’s Books and Vinyl! 🤎

The official GoFundMe to preserve Willa’s Books & Vinyl is now live! This cherished bookstore, founded by Ms. Willa, is a cornerstone of our community. For the past three months, the Kansas City Defender has been supporting the store as we seek sustainable solutions to keep this vital space alive.

Reaching even one-third of our goal will support Ms. Willa’s transition and secure the storefront for a year while we develop a new business model.

We’re also still accepting volunteers! You can sign up and access the GoFundMe link through our Linktree in our bio. Let’s come together to defend this sacred space.
