FORPR is an organization of residents who promote and support Raytown Parks.

The Friends of Raytown Parks & Recreation, Inc was organized to create a partnership with the Raytown Parks & Recreation Board for fund raising and to foster and promote public awareness of the availability of parks, open spaces and recreational activities, services and resources. Our Board of Trustees consists of nine elected stakeholders from the Raytown Community who serve three-year terms and

do not receive any monetary compensation for their service. Our fiscal agent is the Truman Heartland Community Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization. Donations to our Friends of Raytown Parks fund is managed by the Foundation under the direction of our Board of Trustees

General information

Our Accomplishments: Establish a Friends of Raytown Parks fund with fiscal agent, Truman Heartland Community Foundation. Formed a PAC to garner sales tax renewal in August 2010 and purchased with donations 1000 campaign signs we distributed in the yards of supporters throughout the city. Participated in the Minor Smith Park bridge ceremony in September 2011 that included the Parks Board, Chamber of Commerce, City officials and community residents. Fund and run the concession stand for the annual Movies in the Parks Summer program and other appropriate events.

Benefactor-$1000 and up: Includes decal AND Family of 4 Season Pass to Super Splash ($260 value) AND free tree from Trees for Raytown program ($30 value) AND 10% discount on additional Super Splash Season Passes plus eligibility for Board of Trustees
