Our advocacy in 2013-2014 led to bicycle hazard signs being placed along the streetcar route before a single track was laid. Eric Bunch, before he was elected to council, ridiculed these signs and minimized their necessity. Currently, there is a discussion on Reddit detailing how many severe accidents that bicycle and scooter riders experience when they're riding along the streetcar route.

NKC is reluctant to pay $220M for . For reference, KCMO paid $110M for the starter line and $350M for the extension to UMKC. The riverfront extension is $35M and we didn't even vote for that.

The TTC has not handed out fare evasion tickets throughout the pandemic but plans to restart its enforcement efforts as early as this fall.
