Today, on National Intern Day and Haylie’s last day, we’re celebrating someone who has made a lasting impact on the AICA team.

As we also say goodbye to our summer intern, Haylie, we want to thank her for all of the hard work, positivity, and dedication she brought to our office these past few months. From helping make the AIJCA Junior National a success, to assisting throughout CharFocus, and keeping things running smoothly in the office, Haylie was always ready to jump in wherever she was needed.

Her willingness to learn, cheerful attitude, and strong work ethic have been a tremendous asset to our team. We are so grateful for everything she has contributed this summer, and while we’re excited to see all that lies ahead for her, she will certainly be missed around the office.

Thank you, Haylie, for an incredible summer. We wish you nothing but the very best in your next adventure!

Day 2 of was one for the books! 🤩

Our juniors got an inside look at every part of the beef industry, starting the day at Big House Show Cattle, where they learned what it takes to build a successful operation and the importance of daily management, genetics, and industry relations.

Next, we visited Brazos Valley Livestock Commission to see the marketing side of the cattle business in action. From sale day logistics to understanding how cattle move through the marketplace, our attendees gained valuable insight into another critical piece of the industry.

We wrapped up the day in The Woodlands with an incredible dinner at Charolais by Chef Austin Simmons and Larry Ludeke, where we enjoyed outstanding food and heard inspiring stories about branding, entrepreneurship, and the value of vertical integration from ranch to table.

Every stop today reinforced that there are countless ways to build a career in agriculture—and we’re excited to see where these future leaders go next!

Day 1 at CharFocus 2026 is in the books! 🤩

We kicked off the day with an industry career panel, followed by a tour of the Bovine Elite/Integrated Breeders facility, made a stop at the Texas A&M meats lap, and wrapped up the day with an evening at TopGolf. Every stop gave our juniors a chance to learn, network, and grow as future leaders of the Charolais breed.

The friendships are already forming, the conversations are inspiring, and this is only the beginning. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the week has in store!🥩⛳️

📈 History was made in Kansas!

The 2026 AIJCA Junior National was one for the record books, finishing as the second-largest Junior National in AIJCA history with 497 cattle shown and an incredible 267 exhibitors representing 29 states.

Not only did this year's event rank #2 all-time in entries, but it also tied for the highest number of states ever represented at an AIJCA Junior National—a true testament to the strength, passion, and future of the Charolais breed.

Thank you to every junior, family, breeder, volunteer, sponsor, and supporter who made this historic week possible. The future of the breed has never looked brighter!
