Today started out as my scheduled surgery day… but things came to a halting stop. 💔
The dogtors realized I was struggling to breathe, so they took some X-rays, and suddenly everything changed. My surgery was no longer on the table, and instead, cancer was identified.
I don’t really understand what all of this means yet, and honestly, neither does my foster mom. We’re both still trying to wrap our heads around this news. But what I do know is that I am safe. I am loved. And I am going to live this life to the fullest for as long as I possibly can. ❤️
I am now officially a hospice boy. But please don’t let that word scare you. It doesn’t mean I’m giving up. It means I get to spend whatever time I have left being happy, comfortable, spoiled, and so incredibly loved. My foster mom is going to make sure every remaining day is filled with treats, cuddles, sunshine, adventures, and all the things that make my little heart happy. 🥹❤️
So please send me and my foster mom some extra love and well wishes while we both digest this news. We may not know how much time we have, but we know exactly what we’re going to do with it — make every single day count.
Thank you for loving me. Thank you for fighting for me. And thank you for giving me a life worth celebrating. ❤️
Love,
Uncle Sam 🇺🇸🐾
