Welcome to the Kansas City English Bulldog Rescue! 🐾 We are a dedicated 501c3 non-profit organization on a mission to rescue and rehome English Bulldogs in need. 🏠 As a foster home based rescue, we don't have a brick and mortar shelter. Instead, our incredible volunteers open their hearts and homes to provide a safe haven for these adorable bulldogs until they find their forever families. 💛 Every member of our team is a passionate volunteer, and we take pride in being 100% volunteer staffed with absolutely no paid employees. Join us in making a difference, one snort at a time! 🐶💕

🎃🫐 HI, FRIENDS! BOO BERRY HERE! 🫐🎃

Guess who’s back?! Your favorite little Halloween baby! 👻💙 I’ve had a bit of a rough time lately after a mass on my jaw caused an infection in my salivary glands, so I had to have a gland removed. 😮‍💨 BUT don’t worry about me, friends! I’m doing GREAT and healing up like a champ! 💪🏻

And guess what?! I’m getting ready to celebrate my SECOND BIRTHDAY! 🥳🎂 That’s right, I’m turning TWO, and this little monster is ready to party! Foster mom says she’s throwing me a birthday bash, and EVERYONE is invited! 😜🎉 I expect treats, presents, and lots of attention. Is that really too much to ask?!

Now, as exciting as birthday cake and being the center of attention sounds, I have one BIG wish this year… 🎁❤️ I want a FOREVER FAMILY!

I’ll be looking for my forever home soon, and I’m hoping someone out there is ready to make me their boo for life! 🏡💙 I promise I’m much cuter in person, and who wouldn’t want a little Boo Berry haunting their house forever?! 👻

Think you’re the human I’ve been waiting for? I’m officially accepting applications for my forever family! 💌

🔗 Apply to adopt me here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/KCBR/Dog

Spooky kisses and birthday wishes,
BOO BERRY 🫐🎃💙

🎃🐾 MISSED REGISTRATION? DON’T GHOST US NOW! 👻🏁

Just because registration is CLOSED doesn’t mean the FUN is over! 🧡💜

With a record-breaking 108 English Bulldogs, French Bulldogs, and Pugs preparing to race, the 2026 Running of the Bull(dog)s is shaping up to be our BIGGEST event yet!

And guess what? You don’t need a racing dog to join the fun! 🎉

Come spend the afternoon with Kansas City English Bulldog Rescue, cheer on our four-legged athletes, and discover how YOU can make a difference in the lives of bulldogs in need!

🐾 HERE’S HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED:

🏡 LEARN ABOUT ADOPTION! Meet our rescue team, ask questions, and discover what it takes to give a deserving bulldog a forever home.

❤️ EXPLORE FOSTERING! Ever wondered what it’s like to foster a rescue bulldog? Learn how opening your home temporarily can change a dog’s life forever.

🙋 BECOME A VOLUNTEER! You don’t have to foster or adopt to make a difference! Discover the many ways you can share your time and talents with our rescue.

💰 MAKE A TAX-DEDUCTIBLE DONATION! Every dollar helps provide veterinary care, rehabilitation, and second chances for bulldogs who need us.

🏆 CHEER ON THE RACERS! Watch 108 adorable competitors attempt to prove that bulldogs and pugs are, in fact, professional athletes. We make no promises about their speed, stamina, or ability to follow directions! 😂

🎯 WE’RE CHASING HISTORY!

We’ve already raised $7,325, and we’re hoping to reach $10,000 for the FIRST TIME in Running of the Bull(dog)s history!

100% of event proceeds benefit Kansas City English Bulldog Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

🐾 ADOPTION #616 — CRUZ IS HOME! 🐾

This one is extra special. 🥹❤️

There was a time when we wondered if Cruz would ever find his forever home. After losing an eye, we worried that people might overlook the incredible little soul behind his one-eyed smile. But then, along came a special guy who saw something beyond what Cruz had lost. He saw what Cruz had to give. He saw potential, happiness, companionship, and most importantly… FOREVER. 🏡❤️

Cruz, your forever family was out there waiting for you all along, and we couldn’t be happier that your person found you! We cannot wait to watch you learn what it means to be part of a family, to be loved unconditionally, and to finally settle into a home that is yours forever. 🐾

Happy Gotcha Day, Cruz! You may be missing an eye, but you’ve got a whole lot of love to give, and we know your new dad is going to get every ounce of it. 🥹

Now go cause some chaos in that new forever home of yours, buddy! You’ve earned it! 😂❤️

Congratulations, Cruz! Your happily ever after starts NOW! 🏡🐾

Okay… the 3 Pawfessional Pug Ruffarees might be. 👀😂

The 2026 Running of the Bull(dog)s is almost here, and English Bulldogs, French Bulldogs and Pugs from across KC are preparing for their shot at race-day glory!

🐾 Who will sprint?
🐾 Who will wander?
🐾 Who will refuse to move?
🐾 Who will stop to socialize?
🐾 And who will shock EVERYONE and take home the medal? 🏆

There’s only one way to find out.

🐾 ADOPTION #615! 🐾

Another Nina’s litter love story, and our hearts can hardly take it! 🥹💗 Susie has officially found her forever, and we couldn’t be more excited for this sweet girl!

Her tiny human sister is already completely smitten with her, and we just KNOW these two are going to be the very best of friends. 🐶👧🏻💕 From growing up side by side to sharing endless cuddles, adventures, and probably a few mischievous moments, these girls get the absolute sweetest gift of all… a lifetime together!

There is something so special about watching a puppy find her family, but knowing Susie gets to grow up alongside her very own little human sister? THAT’S THE GOOD STUFF. 😭💖

Congratulations on your forever, sweet Susie! May your girlhood be filled with friendship, belly rubs, dress-up adventures, and a lifetime of unconditional love. We can’t wait to watch your beautiful story unfold! 🏡🐾

Happy gotcha day Susie, welcome to forever! 💗

TWO. DAYS. 👕⏰

If you've been saying…

“I need to register the dog.”

“I'll do it tonight.”

“I still have time.”

Consider this your sign. 😂

There are only 2 DAYS LEFT to make sure your first racer registration includes the commemorative Running of the Bull(dog)s shirt!

Race day is getting closer, registrations are coming in, and our 7th Annual Running of the Bull(dog)s is shaping up to be one heck of a Bulldog party. 🎃🏁🐾

Don't watch everyone else's race-day pictures later and think:

“Dang it. We should've done that.”

Register the Bulldog. Get the shirt. Make the memory. Help rescue dogs. 🧡
