Community input needed: Swope Park Improvements Public Open House
Kansas City Parks and Recreation invites you to take part in the first public meeting for the Swope Park Improvements Project.

This open house is your opportunity to provide feedback on:
● Trail improvements
● Traffic calming measures
● A future playground near 63rd Street & Swope Parkway

Big Improvements are coming to Swope Park! Kansas City was awarded a $4.25 million grant from the National Park Service’s ORLP program for major improvements. Updates include a neighborhood trail, a new playground, and renovations to shelters, the bandstand, and roads for easier biking and walking.

Most recently, Kate served as the Chief Operating Officer at the Humane Rescue Alliance in Washington, D.C., where she led with collaboration, clarity, and a heart for both people and pets.

Kate has spent her career improving lifesaving outcomes, strengthening organizations, and creating trusted partnerships. Her values align beautifully with the mission of KC Pet Project and the incredible work our team and supporters make possible every day.
