West Bannister Neighborhood Association The West Bannister Neighborhood Association is comprised of over 180 homes in South Kansas City. The Association has been in existence since 1981.

The neighborhood is partly bordered by State Line Road, Ward Parkway, and Wornall Road. A voluntary membership neighborhood association

The weather certainly cooperated for yesterday's picnic! If you're looking to become more involved, the board is looking for a new treasurer this fall (entails keeping track of dues, providing simple reports at meetings, etc.) Additionally, if you have social media experience and/or abilities to create creative newsletters, we'd love to have your help! WBNA neighborhood picnic this Sunday, June 14, 1-4 pm at 1104 W. Bannister. Jack Stack BBQ, liquid refreshments will be provided. You bring a salad, side dish or dessert. Get to know your neighbors, have a great Sunday dinner. Children are welcome -- there will be a water slide.

Ken Dessert passed away on December 7. His Celebration of Life will be on January 10 at Mt. Moriah Funeral Home on Holmes Rd, KCMO. Visitation at 10, service at 11 and reception at 12. WBNA is sad to hear this as the Desserts have a long and positive history in the neighborhood. We will keep Sharon in our thoughts.
