🍩 It's National Donut Day — and honestly? Sometimes a donut IS self-care.

Not every mental health moment looks like meditation or journaling. Sometimes it's sharing a box with coworkers. Sometimes it's treating yourself after a hard week. Sometimes it's just pausing for something sweet.

Small joys matter. You matter.

What's your go-to "little thing" that lifts your mood? Drop it below 👇 (donuts absolutely count)

🌟 We want to take a moment to honor National !

Treatment courts break the cycle of crime and addiction. They reunite families, make communities safer, and do it all at far less cost than jail or prison. In fact, treatment courts save an average of more than $6,000 per participant — reducing court and prison costs, lowering foster care expenses, and decreasing the costs of victimization.

We know our Northland communities have felt the weight of substance use and mental health disorders. That's why our work matters. We provide evidence-based treatment and real accountability to lead people out of the justice system and into lives of stability, recovery, and hope.

More than 4,000 treatment courts across the country are celebrating this month, because healthy, productive lives aren't just good for individuals. They're good for all of us.
When one person rises out of addiction and into recovery... When one family is reunited... When one community is made safer...

This Memorial Day, we're holding space for those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

Whether you're visiting a grave, attending a ceremony, or simply taking a quiet moment of gratitude - may we all remember *why* we gather today.

Forever grateful. Forever remembering.

✨ Community Spotlight ✨

We are so excited to share that 96 Plaza Middle School 8th graders completed the evidence-based "Too Good for Drugs & Social Perspectives" program this quarter! 🎉

Across five classrooms, students built important life skills including decision-making, goal setting, peer resistance, and healthy coping strategies to help reduce risk factors associated with substance use and other risky behaviors.

A huge thank you to the Plaza Middle School administration and teachers for bringing this programming to life for their students, and to the Substance Use Education & Prevention Task Force whose collaboration helped make this partnership possible.

Funding and implementation support for this program was provided by Beacon Mental Health in partnership with Park Hill CAFY. 💙

This National Prevention Week, we're taking a moment to celebrate the heart behind our Prevention Services team at Beacon Mental Health. 💙

Because of their dedication, over 10,700 young people gained knowledge and committed to living substance-free. Community coalitions are stronger. Schools are better equipped. Retailers are better educated on products they are selling. And over 30 youth leaders are taking their voices all the way to Washington, D.C.

Thank you to every staff member, coalition partner, and student advocate who made this possible.

From classrooms to Capitol Hill, the Beacon Prevention team shows up. We are so proud of everything you do. 🙌

May is Mental Health Awareness Month — and this year, we want to do more than acknowledge it.

At Beacon Mental Health, we talk a lot about tools. Therapy. Support systems. Resources. But some of the most powerful tools are the ones we carry with us every day — the small habits that keep us grounded when life feels uncertain.

This month as part of our partnership with Headrush Roasters and our Stay Grounded promotion, our team is sharing 10 of them.

Not because they're groundbreaking. Because they work.

We hope you'll follow along for the rest of the month -

👣 Tip #1: Get into your body.

When your thoughts are racing, go physical. Press your feet into the floor. Stretch. Take a 2–3 minute walk.

That's it. That's the tip.

Your nervous system responds to movement — even tiny amounts. Give it a try the next time your mind won't slow down.
